Pay It Forward 2022 Update

When we first started out in April 2020, one our of core goals was to bring fresh produce at great value to everyone and we meant everyone. We set up free delivery and no minimum spend, so it didn’t matter what your budget was or how far out in the sticks you were, we’d get a delivery to you. This also meant that if your budget had nothing left to give, and we all felt the squeeze during the pandemic, that you should still have access to fresh and healthy produce for you and your family. So, in October 2020, we set up our Pay-it-Forward scheme. You can read more about everything that led us to that in our first update, here.

Since then, we’ve raised a total of £2240 thanks to your wonderful donations which has enabled us to do so much more than just deliver the odd box to someone who needs it… although we still do that too!

Every Saturday morning, we deliver bulk amounts of fresh fruit and veg (pictured below) to Shipston-on-Stour Food Bank to go alongside the canned/cupboard produce donated by the community throughout the week.

We’ve been able to partner up with various food banks across the North Cotswolds including Chipping Campden, Moreton-in-Marsh and Winchcombe to deliver subsidised boxes to their clients. Since we started this partnership in January 2021, we’ve delivered over 250 boxes to Food Bank users.

Alongside this, we’ve been able to make donations to local charities such as North Cotswold Community Awareness who are working towards the alleviation of poverty in the area. For them, donations work better than produce as they often need to make last minute purchases such as beds, clothes and kitchen utensils. You can read more about all the fantastic work they do here.

All of this is only possible thanks to the generous donations we receive from you, our wonderful CVB family, through our Pay-It-Forward boxes. If you can spare the odd £10, please do add a charity box to your order here.

Outside of the pay-it-forward fund, we donate boxes and vouchers to almost every charity/fundraising event that gets in touch as a way of further supporting the community. If any of you are involved in local charities or know of other ways we can use the scheme to help others in the area, please let us know!
