Our Story
The Cotswold Veg Box Company is the brainchild of two local lads, Pete Robinson and Alex Thompson. A quick call to their website-wizard friend, Will Yoxall and The Cotswold Veg Box was born.
We started this company in the second week of the first lockdown after realising that people in the local community were struggling to access food delivery services. What started as a way to help out the locals quickly developed into a thriving business.
There are so many amazing local growers in our area so we wanted to make it as easy as possible to local people to access this wonderful produce. Each week we contact local growers to see what they’ve been growing. We then collect it, add a few of your exotic and year-round favourites and pack them into boxes to be delivered to your home.
Throughout our short history we have always had our customers as our main focus, making sure that we tailor our service to make it as easy and cost effective for you to use. It’s quality local produce at a fair price delivered direct to your door. We aim to be the easiest way to shop local.
Ordering a Cotswold Veg Box each week will mean that you can avoid the dreaded supermarket trips and get hassle-free, high quality fruit and veg delivered at the click of a button. Time away from work is precious so if we can make the weekly shop that bit easier for you, we’re always here to help.
We hate food waste. This is why we collect your orders each week before finalising our own orders with our suppliers. This means we get almost no food waste at all. Anything we have that is left over at the end of the week is donated to local food banks or used to feed the animals on a local farm.
We also use as little plastic as we can, always choosing to buy plastic-free options when they’re available. we’re not “plastic-free” but you’ll certainly reduce your household waste output by using us for your weekly shop.

If you are a local artisan producer then get in touch. We will be happy to use our platform to help you sell more of your products. We are unable to sell booze just yet but are working on getting the right licenses so that in the future we can get this essential item to you along with your fruit and veg.

You don't need to be at home. In fact, more than 70% of customers are out when we deliver. Deliveries are made by your local vegman/lady (not a courier), who works on a 'round' basis on a set day to maximise efficiency and reduce food miles.
